A Bit About Me

I grew up in Evanston, Illinois, where my love for art and nature took root at an early age. As a child, I was captivated by the illustrations in the books I read—Stellaluna, The Great Kapok Tree, Owl Babies, and so many others. Animated films like Brother Bear and The Land Before Time fueled my imagination even further, inspiring me to see the beauty of the natural world through color and movement.

When I wasn’t lost in stories or sketches, I was outside—digging in the yard for insects, catching frogs and crayfish at the local pond, or exploring any patch of nature I could find. I devoured books about adventure and wildlife, from encyclopedias of the world’s animals to tales of exploration and discovery. My fascination with nature and my creativity grew side by side, each nurturing the other.

Today, that same curiosity continues to shape who I am as an artist. I see art as a lifelong source of learning, wonder, and connection—a way to celebrate the natural world and share the reverence I feel for it. As a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I am deeply honored to continue this journey of discovery. My goal as an artist is to use the knowledge and passion I’ve cultivated to create work that reflects my profound admiration for the world around us, and to remind others of the endless inspiration found in nature’s story.
